Just like any other 22 year old, Zac loved life, enjoying time with family and friends and without a care in the world.

One day, life became blurry and Zac found himself unable to balance. Soon after, Zac was diagnosed with MS. This was a profound shock, to say the least.

Very rapidly, Zac’s world was turned upside down.

Over time, Zac found himself losing more and more control over his life and more importantly, his independence. As time has gone on, Zac’s health and mobility have significantly deteriorated.

Today, Zac is wheelchair bound and is unable to move, unless he is assisted with a hoist (see photo below).

Zac has carer’s coming to his house, three times a day, to assist him with every aspect of his life.

In between shifts, Zac has no choice but to sit alone in his recliner daydreaming, day after day.

Zac dreams of nothing more than to be able to regain his independence by being able to access the community, again.

Zac has access to a wheelchair but due to it’s capabilities, Zac is unable to leave the house, unless he is accompanied by a carer. This is because he is unable to safely calculate gutters and the roads. He has on occasions, fallen out and has had to rely on strangers to help him back in his chair.

Due to this, Zac has lost all his confidence. At this stage in his life, Zac feels he has not only missed out on life but continues to see deterioration in all the things he values.

Your generosity would represent newfound hope for Zac.

In order for Zac to regain his life and access the community, he would need to purchase a 4 wheel drive wheelchair which would give him the capability to confidently maneuver all terrains. He will also need to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle, to get him back out on the road, again. In order to do this, Zac will need to raise approximately $35,000.

Zac would be so grateful for anything you can donate. In return, Zac would like to continue sharing the next stage in his life with you, which would represent a brighter outlook on life.

While we might not be saving the world, we are savings Zac’s world.
